According, to All Elite Wrestling’s official Twitter account, the Tag Team of Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison have officially changed there names from “The Varsity Blonds” to just “The Blonds.” The name change was sparked by the recent tag team of Josh Woods and Tony Nese who are now named “The Varsity Athletes.”
Rumors are flying around a possible return of CM Punk to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). CM Punk, who is currently suspended and out with an injury, shows no desire to return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Current discussions with AEW and CM Punk are now rumored to be about a possible buy out of his current contract with a non-compete clause attached to that buy out. This is leading many to believe that the WWE may buy out his contract and bring him back to the WWE. Now, these are rumors and speculations, but bringing CM Punk back to the WWE would be a great move in making for more compelling programming. We will keep you posted as this develops.
The Question of the Week comes from Ken H. in Rockaway Beach, and he said, “I have read that Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker in AEW have legitimate problems with each other in real life, is this true?” Ken, it’s been reported by numerous online wrestling news networks, that Rosa and Baker do have real life heat with each other. From what I have heard recently, they continue to have heat with each other, and this is apparently causing issues within the female locker room. If I hear more, I’ll be sure to report it.
