Final registrat ion for the
St. Cami l lus / St. Virgi l-
ius Communi ty Basket-
bal l programs wi l l take
place in the St. Cami l lus
gym (Spr ingman Hal l ) on
Wednesday September 28
from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
All games are played at St.
Camillus. Anyone from Kin-
dergarten to the 8th grade
is eligible to play. The Mini
program (Kindergarten to
the 2nd grade) play Saturday
mornings ; the Boys’ pro-
gram (3rd to the 8th grade)
play on Tuesday, Wednes-
day or Thursday nights ;
and the Girls’ program (3rd
to the 8th grade) play on
Wednesday nights. All play-
ers signing up for the Senior
basketball programs (6th to
the 8th grade) must bring
a birth certificate to regis-
tration. The registration fee
will be $65 for the first child
and $10 for each additional
child.
As always, volunteers are
needed to help make the
program a success. If you
are interested in volunteer-
ing as a Coach, or as a Pro-
gram Director, please come
to registration and let them
know. These are great pro-
grams for the children and
young adults in our commu-
nity. Please come and sign
your children up for the pro-
grams, and please make an
effort to volunteer in some
capacity (even part-time)
to help us keep these great
programs going.
SFDS Track Reps
At Hoban Run
Members of The St. Francis de
Sales track team took home hon-
ors at the annual Chris Hoban
Memorial Run. Established in
1989, in honor of Police Officer
Christopher Hoban who was
killed in the line of duty, the run is
one of the top events on the run-
ning circuit. ShannonTuffey took
1st place in the 12 & under; Caro
line Gifford also took 1st place in
the 13 -15 year old division and
was good enough to be 7thWom-
en's overall. Another top place
finisherwasMikeTuffeywitha1st
place in the 13-15 Boys and also
finished with an impressive 7th
place Overall Finisher. Pictured
