SHAMEFUL

Dear Editor:

For a number of years, the Friends of Memorial Circle have placed new American flags at each of the 30+ memorial markers at the circle on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The purpose is to honor those from the neighborhood who paid the supreme sacrifice and are remembered there. An occasional flag here and there goes missing.

However, last week, more than a dozen were pilfered one night! Whoever the lowlife is, you bring dishonor to yourself.
