Family Run on Aug. 8

The 22nd annual Graybeards Family Run is tomorrow, Friday, August 8. The evening will begin with children’s races of varying lengths near St. Francis de Sales, along Rockaway Beach Blvd. at 6:30 p.m. An inspirational run by Rockaway’s Special Athletes will follow at 6:45 p.m. The 1 Mile Run is next at 7 p.m. and then the marquee 5k Run at 7:15 p.m.

Post-race festivities will be in St. Francis de Sales Fr. Grogan Memorial Schoolyard, and includes food, beverages, children’s activities, awards, raffles, and live music. In person registration is available at St. Francis on Thursday, August 7 from 6-8 p.m., and on the day of the race, August 8, from 4-6 p.m.
