Happy 70th Birthday Father Bill

Father Bill Sweeney of St. Francis de Sales turned 70 last Saturday, September 27.  And those who attended the 4:30 p.m. Mass were not only able to wish Father Bill a Happy Birthday in person, but were also treated with a surprise after Church. Father Jim Cunningham arranged for the Breezy Dog truck and Mister Softee to be parked outside after Mass, and all those in attendance received a Breezy Dog hot dog, drink and an ice cream. According to Father Jim, they are Father Bill’s favorite treats. During Mass, Father Bill said he was the first Sweeney male to live to 70. We wish him many more birthdays. St. Francis is very lucky to have both Father Bill and Father Jim; they are gifts to their parishioners and the community.
