Respect the Flags

Dear Editor:

It’s great to drive around the Rockaway community and see all of the American flags displayed on private property and on light poles. However, as they become worn and tattered, it is only right that those who put up the flags do the right thing and remove/replace these flags. Please take ownership of this situation.  There is a worn flag container for proper disposal at the Graybeards office at Beach 129-04 Newport Ave. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
