Rockaway Strong for Pat Brady

One of the things that makes Rockaway so special is the way the community comes together at times when it’s needed most. Since FDNY Lt. Patrick Brady’s line-of-duty death on November 8, the community has shown love for Pat Brady and support for the Brady family in various ways from lining poles with red ribbons throughout Rockaway to Broad Channel, to red line flags, a shell tribute on the beach, a sign made out of solo cups by Rockaway WISH Jr., to school tributes from St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy to P.S. 114 to Scholars’ Academy, Rockaway Park High School, team salutes from the SFDS boys swim team, which Pat’s little cousin Jack swims for, to the Blessed Trinity girls soccer team and others, tributes at local stores and at local bars he worked at like Harbor Light, and much more. As Pat Brady’s bumper sticker said, “Rockaway Strong.”
