RRC Announces Slate of Speakers for Early 2026

In 2025, the Rockway Republican Club (RRC) stayed true to its principles and the one Republican, pro-Rockaway candidate for mayor. In 2026, the RRC will again promote conservative principles as they work to win key elections at the State level. Its 2026 lineup of speakers reflects this commitment.

They include: Saritha Komatireddy (January 8), Massimo Guerriero (January 8), Bobby Ann Cox (February 26), and Rockaway’s own Tom Sullivan. The January 8 meeting will be at the Catholic Club in Breezy Point. The February and March meetings will be at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club.

Ms. Komatireddy is running for the Republican nomination for New York State Attorney General, hoping to defeat Letitia James in November. She is a former prosecutor and national security expert. As a federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of New York, Komatireddy led some of the nation’s most high-profile cases involving international terrorism, cybercrime, and foreign public corruption. She also served as Chief of Staff of the Drug Enforcement Administration. (The 2022 Republican candidate, Michael Henry, is also running and has been invited to address the RRC.)

Mr. Guerriero is a St. John’s University sophomore from Howard Beach who recruited scores of peers to launch a chapter of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA, only to be thoroughly rebuffed by the SJU student government. He and his team will share their story, which drew global attention via National Review. The RRC will continue to support young conservatives whose voices are being censored on college campuses.

Ms. Cox is a civil rights attorney who spearheaded the effort to stop Governor Hochul’s quarantine camp regulations that would have stripped citizens of fundamental rights. She remains at the forefront of battles to protect election integrity and free speech, core values for the RRC.

Tom Sullivan is Rockaway’s Republican candidate for the New York State Assembly. He has an excellent chance of defeating the eventual Democrat nominee in 2026.

In addition to its general meetings, the RRC will again hold its annual Flag Day celebration on June 14. In 2024 and 2025, the club recognized Lance Cpl. Michael D. Glover and Private First Class John McGonigal Jr., respectively. These local heroes made the ultimate sacrifice for our country during foreign wars. This year’s honoree has yet to be named.

To recognize the 250th Anniversary of America, the club will sponsor a sunset cocktail party on Thursday, July 2. It will feature a celebration of the great moments in American history.

With the new year approaching, 2026 dues are now due. Individual membership costs $30. Married couples pay $50. Pay online at https://square.link/u/zTwF8KN8 or bring a check to the January 8 meeting.
