A Team Player

Robbie Salmon, a local resident who serves as an umpire for high school and college baseball games, decided to unload some leftover baseballs from his car after their seasons ended. As Rockaway Little League and the Rockaway Cadets season is underway, he figured there was no better place to bring them then back home. On Saturday, June 15, he donated 10 dozen baseballs to the teams at Fort Tilden. “I’d rather see our kids get use out of them and save the Cadet and RLL some money than give them to someone else. As always, we take care of our own,” Salmon said.
