Construction Set to Start on Michaelis-Bayswater Park

This week, NYC Park announced that construction will begin the week of July 28 on Michaelis-Bays­water Park, located on Beach Channel Drive, between Bay 32nd St. and Norton Avenue. This project will include a reconstruction of the park, featuring new court areas, play equipment, adult fitness areas, seating, an enlarged boardwalk, improvements to ballfields, reconstructed asphalt pathways, and sidewalk replacement along Beach 35th Street and Beach Channel Drive.

This $65.3M project, funded by state, federal and city funding, is expected to be complete by July 2027.
