Mat to Nowhere

Dear Editor:

Beach 74th Street has an access mat, but no lifeguards. The next beach over has lifeguards on four chairs. No access ramp was put in for wheelchairs, seniors, moms with babies, but there’s lifeguards. The next access mat is on Beach 84th Street. This is so unfair. They need to put lifeguards on this beach. The disabled should not have to suffer because there are too many chairs on certain beaches. This ramp was put in because those with wheelchairs in this area needed access but now no lifeguards. Beach 77th Street has lifeguards, why not here? This should not become another surfing beach.
