Scholars’ Brings it Back to Studio 54 for Annual Fundraiser

On March 24, 2025, Scholars’ Academy celebrated its annual card party fundraiser at the American Legion Hall in Broad Channel. This year’s theme, Studio 54, took guests on a nostalgic trip back to the iconic disco era.
Families, friends, and supporters of Scholars’ Academy gathered for an evening filled with fun and camaraderie, all in support of the school they cherish. The event provided an opportunity for the community to unite, strengthening the bonds that make the school so special.
A sincere thank you goes out to Jodi Heywood and Kimberly Benn, the event’s co-chairs, whose dedication and hard work made the fundraiser a success. Their leadership, alongside the efforts of the Studio 54 Fundraising Committee, ensured a memorable and enjoyable night for everyone in attendance.
The committee included: Maria Acero, Damaris Castro, Hillary Caffarone, Mariela Costanzo, Sandra Finkelstein, Bernie Gustama, Angela Hubbs, Maureen Hughes, Sheila Flanagan, Janet Redmond Kennedy, Maura McKeever, Fina Perricone, and Trina Wood. Their collective efforts were instrumental in making the event run smoothly and contributing to its success.
We are extremely grateful to all of our local individuals and businesses who donated and sponsored the event. The funds raised during the evening will go directly to supporting Scholars’ Academy’s ongoing programs and initiatives, helping to provide quality education and enriching experiences for its students. It was truly a night to remember, and one that will help ensure the continued success of Scholars’ Academy for years to come.
