St. Rose Dishes Up Waffles With Mrs. Claus

On Sunday, December 12, Mrs. Claus was the star of the show at St. Rose of Lima Church’s waffle fundraiser. St. Rose hosted a unique Christmas fundraising event, providing essential support for the youth to attend various events throughout the year, helping to offset some of the costs.
Sally Flores, the church youth leader, dressed as Mrs. Claus, and she and the youth group led the initiative on Sunday, after each Mass. They offered scrumptious waffles and an array of homemade juices from Suzy and Jose of XOCO Events. The event featured face painting and participants created sand art angels and crosses, using vibrant, colorful sand. They also offered nice landscapes of Christmas scenes for everyone to take photos with their friends and families.
On Christmas Eve, on December 24, St. Rose of Lima (130 Beach 84th Street) will celebrate Mass at 5 p.m. (English), 7 p.m. (Spanish), 9:30 p.m. (Polish) and a midnight Mass. On December 25, the Christmas Masses will be at 9:30 a.m. (Spanish),11 a.m. (English) and 12:30 p.m. (Polish).
