Summer Classic Week 7

August is here and the 40th St. Francis Summer Classic is now in the homestretch. The second grade division will play its final games this Wednesday, while the Boys Grammar Junior finishes on Monday. Girls Grammar Junior plays this Tuesday before finishing the following Tuesday. Boys Grammar Middle regular season ends Monday with playoffs the following week. Boys Grammar Senior completes their schedule on Wednesday before beginning playoffs. The first round of the Boys High School playoffs will be Wednesday after final regular season games on Monday. Tuesday is the last regular season games for Girls Grammar Senior with playoffs the following week. Girls High School has their last games before playoffs at St. Camillus Springman Hall on Wednesday. The Clare Droesch Women’s Open division still has two more weeks at St. Camillus before their playoffs.
Playoff season does get underway tonight, August 1, for the Tim Klein Men’s Open League. In Division 1 at 7:15 p.m., JG Electric plays Jamesons and Cabana faces A & S at the Harbor. At 8:30 p.m., top seeded Callie’s takes on Harbor Light while Kennedy’s plays Rockaway Beach Local. In Division 2 the 7:15 p.m. matchups are Team Crate-Boarders Surf Shop and Conte Carpets-ServPro. The 8:30 p.m. game has LUV Cleaning-Simple Tackle and Coastal Real Estate-Tap That. Don’t miss the action at the St. Francis Fr. Grogan Memorial Schoolyard.
