Suspect Sought for Church Vandalism

The NYPD is seeking a suspect in connection to the vandalism of several Far Rockaway churches on October 5. The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force after the individual sprayed anti-Christian graffiti on The Refuge Church of Christ, The City of Oasis Church of Deliverance and St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church. Last week, the NYPD released video of the suspect in the surrounding area, wearing sunglasses, dark clothing, a blue baseball cap and a rainbow bandana covering his face, while carrying a rainbow flag and walking a bike.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.
