Ah, if Rockaway only had a movie theatre…like the old days. James Supple, a Rockaway historian, operates Oldrockawayphotos.com and he has scores of classic Then and Now photos. These photos were taken on Rockaway Beach Boulevard around Beach 90th Street. It seems like the Post Office has been there forever but the Rivoli showed movies and you could get a haircut and an ice cream just next door back in the day.
