WWE & AEW Happenings

 WWE & AEW Happenings

By Eric Jayden

Hey Wrestle Talk fans, welcome to another week of pro wrestling news. Lots to talk about, so let’s dive right in!

In recent weeks, there have been reports regarding WWE Superstar Top Dolla of the tag team Hit Row, who has had issues with the company and how they are being used. Now, sources close to WWE Creative have reported that Hit Row, and several other superstars that have been recently hired, were only brought back to prevent repeats of rematches that current superstars have been doing. The WWE basically does not want to have the same tag teams and the same single wrestlers working with each other week after week. This is apparently leading to a lot of backstage heat allegedly.

WWE NXT Superstar Breakker is apparently scheduled to make his main roster debut as soon as this week. At the time of publication of this column, Breakker may have already made his debut. Reports are saying it may be against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. I have to say I’ll be very interested in watching that match.

This past Saturday, June 17, we saw the debut of “AEW Collision” and the return of CM Punk. The show was held in Chicago, Illinois, in a sold-out arena. Another AEW Superstar made his return since the All Out PPV. Miro returned and faced off against Tony Nese. The show also saw the return of Andrade El Idolo, who went up against Buddy Matthews of the House of Black. After the show went off air, CM Punk and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) shared their thoughts with the crowd. Now, as for me, I am finally happy to see CM Punk return! He brings a ton of knowledge and star power to the AEW Collision Brand. As a matter of fact, CM Punk was the biggest draw AEW had. If you disagree with me, send me your thoughts.

WWE Superstar Edge recently celebrated 25 years with the company. Edge, a WWE Hall of Famer, made his debut on June 22, 1998, on an episode of Monday Night RAW. The Rated R Superstar has hinted that this could be his last year in pro wrestling. We would like to wish Edge a congratulations and hopefully many more years. You can celebrate by using the hashtag #Edge25 on social media.

The Question of the Week comes from Darrell P. in Far Rockaway and he asked, “I have been looking around to see, where has Chris Hero gone to? Is he still wrestling?” Hi Darrell, Chris Hero, I’m happy to say, is currently working for AEW, as a backstage producer for Ring of Honor Show. But there are reports that he may be heading to AEW’s Collision Show in the comings weeks. Thank you for the question, Darrell!

If you have any questions or comments, please send them to eavil183@yahoo.com and have a great weekend!
