On a beautiful Saturday, October 25, the 100th Precinct held its annual Trunk-Or-Treat for the community. The event started with a Halloween parade on the boardwalk as costumed dinosaurs, gladiators, bananas and more made their way from Beach 102nd to Beach 94th, with Officer Jason Farrell leading the way on a police scooter with a spooky skeleton on the back. Once they reached Beach 94th, the Precinct’s parking lot was open to all with trunks full of candy and goodies awaiting.

“Our Annual Trunk-or-Treat event was a success, Rockaway. Thanks to you!” the 100th Precinct said after the event. “We would like to thank everyone who participated in our free, fun, and safe trunk-or-treating event. We value your support! We also appreciate the contributions of our outstanding sponsors and volunteers!

The event was made possible by the 100th Precinct, the 100th Precinct Youth Officers, the 100th Precinct Community Council, volunteers and donors including Casino Auto, Bryan’s Auto, Deidre Maeves, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Kiwanis Club, Stop & Shop Arverne, Pickles & Pies, Key Food, Millennium Development, Rockaway Recycle Program, Madeleine Chocolate and more.
