Faux Bono

 Faux Bono

It wasn’t a Beautiful Day on Sunday, May 3, but not quite a Sunday Bloody Sunday either. However, a special visitor was spotted Where the Streets Have No Name, leaving some to wonder if he Still Hasn’t Found What He’s Looking For.

As a man in a sharp suit jacket and rose-colored glasses dropped into Boardwalk Bagel and Happy Jack’s on Sunday, it made people do a double take, thinking they just saw Bono, lead singer of U2. However, it was just someone else with Mysterious Ways.

Danny Foster, owner of Boardwalk Bagel, brought his friend Pavel Sfera down for the day to play a few tricks. Sfera, from California, has been a Bono impersonator for more than 30 years. He even sings, sometimes performing with an impersonator of U2’s The Edge. Sfera got many good on Sunday, but not everyone. We’re told Chef Mike Dalton of Happy Jack’s questioned why a stranger was in his kitchen, while some patrons didn’t even turn their heads from their pints. However, Shelly Schmitt, a worker at Boardwalk Bagel, grabbed a pic for fun.
