Easy Meat Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef (93% lean) (I use Pat La Freda. You can also substitute for ground chicken or turkey)
- 1/2 large carrot, finely grated
- 1 jar (32 oz.) marinara sauce (I use Michaels or Prego)
- 1 small sweet onion, diced
- 3-4 pieces of garlic, diced
- Pinch of dried oregano
- Pinch of dried parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Add a little olive oil to pan. Add the meat, onions and garlic and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the fat.
Add the sauce and cook on simmer for 30 minutes. Add the oregano, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Use over your favorite pasta.
