Pet Costume Pawty Set for Oct. 25

Get those costumes ready…for your dogs! Tail Waggers Task Force’s 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween Costume Party is Saturday, October 25.

Halloween is fun for kids and adults alike, but pets can put their best paw forward, too and October 25 is the perfect opportunity to show them off, and maybe win some prizes. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., bring your costumed pet to the Rockaway Freeway Dog Run on Beach 83rd Street and Beach Channel Drive, for an afternoon of activities. The dog park will be decorated for the occasion. There will be games for dogs and their humans. All are welcome to bring their costumed pets or dog lovers can simply stop by and enjoy the fun. There will be a photo booth to capture some great photos. The costume contest begins at 3 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee and prizes will be awarded for the funniest, spookiest and more.

Local businesses are welcome to sponsor the event to help support the dog park. As Tail Waggers says, “The Howl-O-Ween Costume Pawty not only celebrates our four-legged friends but also raises funds for ongoing park improvements and maintenance at the Rockaway Freeway Dog Run — the largest dog park in NYC.”
