– “Our Wonderful Future” by Jonah Aaron Goldstein: It’s July 14, 1945: The U.S.A. just tested its first nuclear bomb. It is said that any escalation of war between two major powers will lead to the inevitable.

– “Adidas Owns the Reality” by Keil Orion Troisis and Igor Vamos: Prankster activists perform an elaborate hoax to improve conditions for garment workers in the Adidas supply chain.

– “Grandma & Isabella” by Hannah Engelson: A poetic, observational documentary centered on Livina, who is raising her great-granddaughter Isabella in Rockaway.

– “The Waves Within Us” by Muhammad Ali Haider: On a quiet beach in Rockaway, a hopeless teenager struggles with his future and self-worth while playing football with his older brother, who offers wisdom on life and perseverance.

Christopher Jason Bell and Rockaway resident Mitch Blummer’s docufictional feature, “Failed State,” follows a streetwise courier trying to make ends meet in NYC. Anchored by a captivating performance from regular collaborator Dale Smith, Failed State is a poignant portrait of precarious living in America.

The cast of the Rockaway Theatre Company’s upcoming musical, “Hair” fills the stage with soaring voices for a special one-night only preview and benefit concert showcasing songs, “Aquarius,” “I Got Life” and several surprise hits of the ‘60s. This preview raises funds for a member of the RTC family diagnosed with terminal cancer. Tickets: $25. Cash-only at the door.
