Santas Jingle All the Way Down the Boardwalk

These runners were ho, ho, hoing and mistletoeing all the way on Saturday, December 13. Despite some pre-snow blistery temperatures, there was nothing but good cheer on the boardwalk for the Rockaway Track Club’s Santa Suit/ Grinch 5K and fun walk.

Some opted for the quick 5K while others went for the leisurely stroll, some dressed as Santa while others picked the Grinch, and in the spirit of the event, some ran on pure eggnog, taking swigs between miles. The event began at Healy’s Pub for suit pickup and late registration, before all participants hit the boardwalk to pound the pavement, jingling all the way. All participants received Santa medals when they crossed the finish line, before thawing out.
