Potholes and Detours

Dear Editor:

Another beautiful and well attended Mass was experienced this week at St. Camillus. Thank you to everyone in the pews and in the family room, especially the AOH. A few months ago, we faced a spiritual pothole with the possibility of St. Camillus closing its doors. But through our faith, we took a big detour around that pothole. We did not give up. We followed another way.  Thank you, Fr. Chuck for your words on Sunday. How appropriate that you reminded us that we may face potholes, but we can’t give up. Just take a detour to reach your final destination. The parishioners of St. Camillus are grateful to everyone who is following the detour with us to support the efforts to save St. Camillus.  Of course, Fr. Chuck meant our final destination to be with God, but I believe for us, saving St. Camillus is one of the rest stops on the road to that final destination.

Faith turns every step into progress with purpose.
