A Few Complaints

Dear Editor:

Just wanted to say a few things that make me mad about some people in Rockaway. Firstly, does ANYONE know where to stop when approaching a corner? I always thought it was the white line BEFORE the stop sign, then gradually proceed. Just look when you are driving and see how many think crossing into the lines is ok. There are many kids on bikes, and I am surprised there aren’t more accidents.

Next is the way people park on Beach 129th Street. Double park when there are spots 30ft away. Not pulling into spots at all when one right next to you is open. Don’t be so lazy and walk a little to whatever store you are going to. Don’t complain if you get a ticket as you have been getting away with it forever and it finally caught up with you. Bring someone with you so they can get what you need and leave a driver so we don’t have to blast the horn so we can get out. Of course, no one will care about these as the nature of things these days is what’s good for me, and damn everyone else.
