A Good Read

For the past 20 years, this group of Rockaway women have met in different members’ homes to share their love of reading and friendship. Their last meeting that took place was one for the books-literally!

At the last meeting, the group discussed the book, “Sunday Money” by Maggie Hill, a novel about a young girl growing up in Brooklyn and her love of basketball. To the delight and surprise of all, the author (a Rockaway local!) also attended their book club meeting and shared her insights into the creation of her characters and story. Pictured are several members of the book club with the author.
