A Very Big ‘Thank You!’

St. Mary Star of the Sea and St. Gertrude’s would like to extend their thanks and praise to all of the generous donors over Thanksgiving week.

Thanks to the Greybeards and RIBS for the collection of hundreds of blue bags filled with groceries. These donations restocked our pantry and many others in Rockaway. Because of them, our neighbors are being taken care of!

Thanks to Ray, Mo, Jose Velez, Vanessa, Jimmy and Nick for setting up and organizing the food and chafing dishes, and then breaking down our entire auditorium.

Thanks to Al Cantanese and Joe Caruana, along with Brooklyn Rotary and Stop & Shop, for a combined 200 donated turkeys!

Finally, to the hundreds of donors who sent cash, cooked a meal, or volunteered to serve — you are all amazing! We will celebrate a mass of “Thanksgiving” for you and your families!
