Arverne Holds Its First Holiday Tree Lighting
On Monday night, December 11, Arverne by the Sea held their first annual holiday tree lighting. Not even a brisk chill in the air could hinder the palpable holiday cheer! The tree is now shining brightly on Beach 73rd and Beach Front Road for all in Arverne to enjoy. ABTS’s Gerry Romski, Councilwoman Selvena Brookes and THOR’s Edwin Wiliams played an integral part in making the lighting possible. Other civic leaders were in attendance including Assemblyman Khalil Anderson, Assemblywoman Stacy Pheffer Amato, Delores Orr and Paul King.
