The 7th grade Rockaway Celtics boys’ basketball team faced off against Level Up Weiss on Sunday night, April 13, in an exciting thriller. Early in the game, the Celtics found themselves trailing by 18 points. Coach Ellen McDonagh credited the team’s comeback to strategic changes in their defense.

In a dramatic turn, the Celtics managed to pull ahead in the fourth quarter. Jack Belford played a crucial role in keeping the team competitive, successfully hitting all three free throws after being fouled while shooting a 3-pointer. Despite their efforts, Level Up Weiss ultimately secured the victory with a final score of 64-59. Both Joe Bean and Johnny Evangelista each scored 24 points, showcasing their impressive skills throughout the game.
