 Community Easter Fun

On Easter Sunday, April 20, Brothers for Peace and Social Change, Man Entertainment, and Ocean Bay Resident Council hosted its 12th annual Easter egg hunt, a heartwarming celebration of community engagement, peace, and enjoyment. Approximately 100 adults and children enjoyed a date with the Easter bunny on Easter day and a fun egg hunt for more than 1,000 eggs at Rockaway Community Garden on Beach 54th Street.

The event featured an array of activities including music, raffles, and food, with gifts raffled off for children and parents. The crowning moment was the awarding of a virtual reality set as the final prize, which left children overjoyed. Andre Man Brown and Visol Smith prioritized a safe and peaceful environment.

The Brothers for Peace and Social Change organization’s next event, “Oldies But Goodies,” will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Child Center of NY on Beach 57th St., with a live band performing classic music for senior community members.
