Haley DeSetta Visits the Shore Garden Club

On Monday, July 15, the Shore Garden Club of Neponsit & Belle Harbor enjoyed a spectacular luncheon at the Harbor Light after which they enjoyed two floral presentations designed to enhance their gardening skills.
At a prior meeting, members had been asked to volunteer to bring in specific types of arrangements and explain the elements of their designs. Talented veteran club member, Phillis Rogoff, brought in several different types of design arrangements which were discussed among those present. After dessert, Haley Desetta of Desetta Nursery in Woodmere, guest speaker, began her Container Gardening Presentation. While elegantly creating three gorgeous arrangements with the cut flowers she brought from her nursery, she worked diligently creating her floral masterpieces while explaining how texture, color and placement yielded beautiful arrangements! Every one of the 20 members in attendance were delighted with her creations.
Raffle results brought smiles and great joy to Bella, Corinne and Linda! All agreed it was a fantastic meeting and are looking forward to their next meeting on the third Monday of August. Until then, the members will hone their gardening skills and continue to enjoy the beautiful landscaping throughout our beautiful community!
