Halloween Events Sneaking Up

Halloween is right around the corner! We’ll have a full lineup of events happening next weekend, leading up to Halloween, but some others are coming up in the next week.

On Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, MoonLot, at 189 Beach 96th Street is hosting a pumpkin patch. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by, grab a pumpkin and enjoy decorating.

On Thursday, October 27, more fun begins. The NYPD’s 100th Precinct is hosting their annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot next to the precinct on Beach 94th Street. Costumes are encouraged. Enjoy decorated police cars and grab some treats!

Also on Thursday, October 27, the Broad Channel Volunteer fire Department’s Haunted House officially opens at 15 Noel Road. For $15 or $50 for a group of four, enter if you dare. The fun goes from 8 p.m. ‘til 10:30 p.m. It will be open throughout the weekend into Halloween night.

Now this one is for the adults. Tickets are going quick for Queens’ drag queen, Ginger Ladd’s Halloween Bash at the Rockaway Hotel on Friday, October 28. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and goes ‘til midnight. This is a 21 and over event. Costumes are encouraged to get in the spirit, but the six performers on stage are likely to outdo any look.
