Happy Easter from St. Camillus!
Dear Editor:
The parishioners of St. Camillus are so full of gratitude! The first and most important reason to be grateful is for the gifts of renewed hope and spirit from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We don’t take for granted that St. Camillus Church was dead, but is now alive bringing us out of darkness into the light. Just a short few months ago, Advent ending with Christmas was to be St. Camillus’ last liturgical season. So, we are grateful that we were able to celebrate Lent and the Easter season this year. We are grateful for the faithful who have returned to St. Camillus Church to celebrate the Mass and receive the Eucharist each Sunday. We are grateful for the fellowship that the Rockaway community provides. As a community and parish, we live with the gifts of a new hope and spirit for the growth of St. Camillus Church. God is good and we are grateful!
Please keep the woman who was revived during the Palm Sunday Mass in your prayers. A special thanks to Jim McCabe and Captain Pete Haggerty who were at Mass and first on the scene to start CPR which saved her life.
