Hocus Pocus

Some local brokers imply that they have special access to a magic formula. A client was promised a quick sale at TOP DOLLAR, and a guaranteed FAST co-op approval of the buyer. I warned him/her about hocus pocus. I knew it would be a difficult sale and a difficult sale process. Of course, the sale didn’t happen. The co-op was rented instead. Don’t be fooled – there is no magic solution for success. Some tools brokers use:
- Most brokers use advertisements in The Rockaway Times, open houses, signs, websites.
- Some brokers give out keychains. I give out pens.
- Most brokers utilize expensive internet websites.
- I have advertised on 1010 WINS Radio and WABC Radio.
- Some brokers know our neighborhood better than others. My staff has over 200 years of residence in Rockaway and over 40 years of education beyond high school. We have sold over 400 homes.
This includes at least one house on every street in Belle Harbor and Neponsit. This gives us knowledge of houses which can help make a difference.
- Some brokers spare no expense. I sponsor many local organizations like Rockaway Little League, several religious institutions, etc. Hocus pocus? Nope. It’s hard work, experience, intellect, and a big budget.
