On Friday, September 3 at 6 a.m., head to the Floyd Bennett Field Seaplane Ramp and greet the day with an energetic paddle to see the sun rise. Kayaks, personal floatation devices, and paddles will be provided.  Space is limited; call 718-758-3671 to make a reservation.

On Saturday, September 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., meet up at Rockaway's Veterans Memorial on Rockaway Beach Blvd between B94-B95 St. Come to draw and hear about the history and artists behind the two larger than life bronze statues. Dedicated to war veterans who made the supreme sacrifice, these monuments are especially meaningful this week. Bring pad/pen/paint/chair. Free and open to all.
