Lifesaving Suggestions
Dear Editor:
On the recent drownings after 6 p.m. One, the city gives overtime to cops after someone drowns or during protests. Why wouldn’t the city give OT on hot days for lifeguards ‘til 7 or 8 p.m. if still light out?
Or can we get those lifeguard buoys left in case of emergency, left like they do ladders next to ponds in winter so someone can use to help try to save someone if no lifeguards are around.
