Local Acosta Irish Dancers Return from Regional Championship
Two Irish dancers from the Acosta School of Irish Music & Dance travelled to the Mid-Atlantic Oireachtas, the annual Regional Irish Dance Championships in Philadelphia over Thanksgiving weekend and left with something to celebrate.
Mallaidh Williams, age 12, placed eighth and qualified for the World Irish Dance Championships, which will be held in Dublin, Ireland in April. Aoibhinn Williams, age 15, place twelfth in the Traditional Set Dance Competition. Both are also students at Scholars’ Academy. Congrats, Mallaidh and Aoibhinn!
