Photos With Santa Paws

Even the fur kids deserve a visit from Santa Paws, even if Santa had a few running away with their tail between their legs. But most pups at Tail Waggers Task Force’s first photos with Santa event had tails wagging as they met Santa at the Rockaway Freeway Dog Park on Saturday, December 21.

Earlier this year, Tail Waggers Task Force changed paws with ARF-ARF as keepers of the Rockaway Freeway Dog Park, as ARF-ARF is focusing on Rockaway’s new Shore Front Dog Park. However, Tail Waggers carried on the holiday tradition of hosting photos with Santa, this time with Melissa Torres Echevarria putting on the big red suit. Dozens of pet parents brought their furry loved ones, many dressed in holiday sweaters, for the photo op, while many dogs ran around, enjoying the first snow of the holiday season as their parents froze their tails off.
