Queens DA Seeks to Solve Cold Case Involving Toddler
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz is hoping to solve another cold case, this time a case involving a deceased toddler found 21 years ago.
On February 5, 2005, unidentified male child remains were found on the beach at Beach 110 Street in Rockaway. The child was wrapped in a special edition “fire chief” Disney blanket. The remains were placed in a yellow plasticized canvas duffle bag, which was wrapped in duct tape.
The boy, either Caucasian or Hispanic, was approximately 3 to 5 years old, about three feet tall and had brown, slightly wavy hair about 7.5 inches long.
