Rockaway Bagels Earns Third Best Bagel in Queens

Who’s got the best bagels in Queens? Well, Middle Village. But a beloved Rockaway spot took third place in the Chamber of Commerce’s Best Bagel in Queens contest—Rockaway Bagels.

In mid-January, the Queens Chamber of Commerce requested nominations for Queens’ Best Bagel. Five Rockaway spots were in the running out of 55 bagel places in the borough. The public was invited to vote on their favorites. The top three were only separated by less than 50 votes out of 3,000 total votes, but Middle Village Bagels came on top, followed by Utopia Bagels in Whitestone and Rockaway’s own Rockaway Bagels (114-08 Beach Channel Dr.) came in third.

The staff was grateful for the honor. “We wanted to take the time to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support and for voting for our bagel store,” Rockaway Bagel posted on Friends of Rockaway Beach on Facebook. “Your loyalty and enthusiasm mean the world to us, and we are incredibly grateful to have such wonderful customers like you. Thank you for being a vital part of our bagel family and for making each day brighter with your smiles and support.”
