Rockaway Celtics 7th Grade Team Goes 3-0 Over the Weekend

The Rockaway Celtics had an impressive weekend, finishing with a perfect 3-0 record.

On Friday night, May 9, the Celtics faced the fierce Game 7 Diego team. Despite Diego leading for most of the match, the Celtics fought hard to stay in contention. Petey Hayden was a standout player, showcasing an unstoppable performance that kept his team in the game. In a thrilling finish, the Celtics managed to pull off a 59-46 victory!

Next up was a match against Team Overtime. This game showcased a true team effort, with the Celtics securing a solid 42-31 win.

The highlight of the weekend came during their final game against the JCC Jaguars. The Celtics dominated with an astounding score of 76-25. Joe Bean led the charge with 15 points, while Johnny Evangelist contributed 12 points and Johnny Ray Roggencamp added 10 points. It was truly a team effort, as every player got on the scoreboard and displayed incredible defensive skills throughout the game!
