Rockaway Gets Shroomed!

Have you seen this fun guy around town? A giant mushroom has been making its way around Rockaway Park and Belle Harbor, mysteriously moving in the middle of the night, and landing on unsuspecting neighbors’ lawns. “I got shroomed!” Lori Ann Tellone said after it landed on her lawn on Beach 134th last weekend. It reportedly started on Beach 126th and also made its way to Beach 125th, Beach 129th, where it picked up some party lights, and Beach 135th.

A little birdie told us they saw the spray foam structure at St. Francis de Sales’ 8th grade Alice in Wonderland-themed dance on Friday, June 6, but how its adventures around town started remains a mystery!
