RFF PRESENTS: FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIES FOR TEENS

The Rockaway Film Festival presents, “Flicker Points,” a series of free Friday night movies for teens, selected by filmmakers at the Annex Cinema. This monthly program for young movie lovers is free and open to individuals ages 15 to 19. Guest filmmakers will share a special teen movie at 5 p.m., followed by a discussion. Filmmakers will also introduce one of their own films at 8 p.m., open to the general public, but will remain free for teens. This year marks the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby, so dress in your Derby best, and join a crowd of horse-loving, hat-wearing, julep-swilling spectators watching the iconic event here in Rockaway at Pilot House. All day—the boulevard spot will be serving derby-inspired drink and food specials, plus giveaways. Race coverage starts at 11 a.m.; official race at 5:57 p.m. Then, at 6:30 p.m., afterparty hosted by Pacifico, plus kickoff an early fiesta to Cinco de Mayo.
