Forget reality TV series, “Jersey Shore!” Check out “Wildwood, NJ,” a vivid time capsule of the South Jersey shore in the ‘90s. Documentarians, Ruth Leitman and Carol Weaks Cassidy, interview the young women they meet on the boardwalk about their hopes and dreams, capturing the electric rush of fleeting friendships, flings, and fights under the neon glow of amusement park lights. Screening at Arverne Cinema (inside).

Catch the summer breeze at The Arverne Cinema (outside), while watching, “The Dells,” a film capturing the experiences of students from all around the world coming to to the U.S. for the ultimate American experience. Coming from Turkey, Romania, Jamaica, Thailand and the Dominican Republic, this group finds themselves in Wisconsin Dells, “The Waterpark Capital of the World.” Working long hours for little money, their fantasies of a breezy American summer quickly get a reality check. Preview screening followed by a conversation with director, Nellie Kluz, and Joshua Citarella.
