Éirinn go Brách! This Saturday is the 49th Annual Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and there are loads of local spots celebrating Rockaway’s steeped Irish heritage. From live music performances to post-parade pub crawls, here’s the ultimate guide on where to get ‘Irish-ed’ on Saturday!

1 p.m.

Don your green and get ready for marching bands, bagpipers, Irish step-dancing and so much more! The parade kicks off at 1 p.m. from Beach 129th St. and Newport Avenue., then travels down Newport Avenue to Beach 116th Street, down Rockaway Beach Boulevard, past a reviewing stand on Beach 105th Street to the parade end at St. Camillus on Beach 100th Street. Before the parade, early birds can attend a Mass for peace and justice at 9 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, located at Beach 129th Street and Rockaway Beach Blvd.

 

SHILELAGH LAW HEADLINES ANNUAL ROCKAWAY RUGBY CLUB PARADE FÊTE

2 p.m.

The Rockaway Fisheads Rugby Club hosts the biggest RSPD fête with DJ Timmy Tubs waxin’ the vinyl all day long, and with Shilelagh Law as the headliner, expect a jam-packed, fun-loving lineup of fun and more fun! Two Degrees opens the show at 2 p.m., then at 5 p.m. Shilelagh Law hits the stage. Note, get there early because the line to get in is long! Ages 23 and over. Donation at the door is $30.

BELLE HARBOR YACHT CLUB RINGS IN RSPD

WITH LIVE MUSIC

3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Belle Harbor Yacht Club serves up a triple threat of craic with this bangin’ music lineup—3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wine With Sue and The Indecisions, and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., The Knobs. Note, these performances are happening in different areas of the club.

AT THE ROCKAWAY HOTEL

The Rockaway Hotel joins in the post-parade celebrations with an all-day emerald lineup of music, food and vendors. In the Harbor Room, doors open at 2 p.m., then from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Irish American band, Nine Mile House; 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., O’Malley Irish Dance Academy; 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Canny Brothers Band; and from 7:30pm to 9 p.m., Beantown’s own Sláinte—all emceed by Sean Duane. Harbor Room tickets are $55. Additional RSPD festivities include Ray Coleman 3 p.m. at Margie’s (tickets not required, reservations encouraged). On the Rooftop, DJ Paddy Tubz (tickets not required). Also, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., shop from local vendors at The Irish Village, located at The Pool House. And at 6:30 p.m., Wooden Nickels Duo (Sean Feeney and Jessica Semins) jam at Margie’s.
