The St. Francis de Sales girls born in 2013 won the sixth-grade bantam diocesan championship Friday night, November 8, in exciting fashion. Led all season offensively by Savannah Conigliaro, Kayla Egan and Brenna Farrell, the girls got on the scoreboard early when Savannah broke through and put one in the net. That goal held up into the second half with a great defensive effort from Mae LaFroscia, Maeve O’Donnell, Madeline Gallagher and Maddie Egan in goal. With the score tied 1-1 in the second half, Brenna Farrell used her big leg to make a huge shot from the wing to give the girls a 2-1 lead that proved to be the decisive goal for the win! Congratulations to our opponent and parish mates (SFDS #2) on a great season also.
