St. Camillus’ Resuscitation
Dear Editor:
The St. Camillus Parish is still celebrating Bishop Brennan’s decision to give St. Camillus a second chance. Sunday’s Mass and parishioners were filled with gratitude. A thank you banner honoring Bishop Brennan was created by parishioner Ann Walsh. It was carried in during the processional entrance and carried out during the recessional exit with parishioners filling in behind the banner to take a photo in front of St. Camillus to send to the Bishop.
Fr. Miller said it best when reflecting on the Gospel. Just like Lazarus, St. Camillus was resuscitated. He reminded us that now the real work begins to continue our commitment to keep St. Camillus open.
How do we do this? We need to continue to work together by joining the Sunday 11:30 a.m. Mass with family and friends, donate to the collections as best we can, participate in the spiritual and fellowship events that are being planned. While I am sure fundraising is on everyone’s mind, we need to wait to formalize the plan of action when the new Administrator is on board.
For now, let us rejoice in the resuscitation of St. Camillus while continuing to listen to God’s voice. We need to place our trust in the Lord as He knows the plan.
