St. Camillus / St. Virgilius Basketball MVPs of the Week
The St. Camillus/ St. Virgilius basketball program is underway with about 150 local kids from 4th grade to 8th grade, playing in the Girls and Boys leagues. Here are some standout players this week.
Logan Leahy
Girls League
Logan dominated this game from start to finish. She is a very smooth player who makes everything look easy. She has a sleek way of slipping past the defense when she drives to the basket that makes her almost unstoppable. What makes her even harder to defend is that she has a sweet shot from beyond the arc as well. She can do it all. Logan’s 24 points led her team to a 6-point win.
Brian Feeney
Junior Boys
League

Brian is a very strong player who simply imposes his will throughout the game. He is like a locomotive when he drives to the basket. He dominated the paint throughout this game with his scoring and his rebounding. The Green team made a valiant effort to come back in this game, but Brian was a key factor in holding them off. In the end his 21 points were just enough to lead his team to a hard fought 2-point victory.
Mason Hance
Senior Boys
League

We know from prior years that Mason is a star. He has all the skills that a great player needs. This week he showed off his greatest skill and that is his absolutely deadly shooting from beyond the arc. He dropped in an amazing eight 3-pointers in this game. He just does not miss from 3-point land. His 27 points were too much for the Red team to overcome. His outstanding performance helped propel his team to a solid 11-point win.
