St. Camillus / St. Virgilius MVPs of the Week
Ava Masullo
The St. Camillus/ St. Virgilius basketball program is underway with about 150 local kids from 4th grade to 8th grade, playing in the Girls and Boys leagues. Here are some standout players this week.
Ava Masullo
Girls League
Ava is like the Energizer Bunny. She never runs out of energy. She just seems to be everywhere on the court. Making steals on defense and using her speed and skill on the offensive end to score from all over the court. She hits from mid-range, uses her deceptive moves to drive and get to the foul line, and on top of that, she poured in four 3-pointers. Her 29 points and all-around great performance led her team to a 7-point win.
PJ Murphy
Junior Boys League

PJ was on fire this week. He just couldn’t miss. He was either making moves to get to his mid-range shot, or he was using his quickness to drive to the basket. Either way, he was simply scoring at will. Trying to slow him down by fouling him didn’t work either because he was deadly from the foul line. PJ poured in an incredible 38 points which led his team to a solid 8-point win.
Joseph McDermott
Senior Boys League

Joseph is one of the stars of the league. The team can always count on him to consistently perform at an extremely high level. His power and skills make him the main focus of every defense. Unfortunately, even with this extra attention, you still can’t slow Joseph down. This week was no different. He dominated the game on both ends of the court. His 23 points led his team to another victory this week.
