Some might be watching football on Sunday, while others may be more focused on a super bowl of guacamole or buffalo dip. Rockaway’s local businesses have plenty of options to satisfy your appetite whether you’re rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles, or for your pizza delivery to show up before Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.

Super Bowl LIX will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted on FOX this Sunday, February 9. The Chiefs battle the Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. And from your couch, you can dive into the endzone of endless snacks, brought to you by some of our advertisers and other local businesses.

Crustinos and The Meat Up Grill on Beach 116th Street have some super specials in store for the weekend. Crustinos have their catering menu available, or for $30, you can get a large pie, an eight-piece of jumbo wings and a two-liter soda or two pasta dishes, five garlic knots and four cannolis for dine-in or delivery at Crustinos (718-634-6800). Call in an order of $150 or more by Thursday, February 6 and you’ll get 10% off your bill. The Meat Up Grill (718-210-2506) has their full catering menu featuring cheeseburgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, salads for the health-conscious and even trays of their football specials like everything pigs in a blanket and buffalo chicken empanadas.

Caterer A & S at the Harbor at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club has everything you can dream of with a variety of appetizers, pasta or heroes. They also have three package choices starting with the big $395 package featuring a two-foot chicken cutlet, roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella hero, a two-foot roast beef hero with caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella and peter luger sauce, a half tray of wings, mac and cheese, spareribs, rice balls and potato coquettes, plus a choice of two: potato salad, macaroni salad or cole slaw. Their $290 special includes a three-foot peter luger sandwich, a full sampler tray, a half tray of social pizza and a choice of two side salads. Their smaller $210 package includes a three-foot chicken cutlet hero, and a half tray of buffalo wings, rice balls and croquettes, plus a choice of two side salads. Steve II’s Pork Store in Brooklyn has a series of catering packages featuring heroes, wings, rice balls, sausage and peppers and other options ranging from $149.95 to $395.95. They also have full and half trays of things like quesadilla, pulled pork sliders, antipasto, pasta and more. Order by 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 6 by calling 718-331-3703 and pick up by February 9 at 1602 Bath Avenue. They also offer delivery to Rockaway. See StevesTwo.com for more.

On Beach 129th Street, Jamesons has you covered with half and full trays of wings with buffalo, teriyaki, honey garlic or bbq sauce, chicken dumplings with teriyaki dipping sauce, cheeseburger or buffalo chicken sliders, steak tidbits, pretzel sticks with pub cheese, penne ala vodka, mac and cheese and more. Call in by Friday afternoon to place your order (718-474-9364).

Mexican restaurant Pico on Beach 129th is also offering half and full trays of wings, a half tray of wings and double guacamole, appetizer trays of elote, shrimp empanadas or crispy yuca, or a party package of guacamole, pico de gallo, queso and chips, wings and a taco bar with all the fixings for six to eight people ($140), 10 to 12 people ($215) or 18 to 20 people ($395). Perhaps nothing goes better with football than pizza. La Sorrentina on Beach 129th is offering a package that includes a large regular pie and an order of buffalo wings for $28. Call 718-474-1775 to order by February 9. Meanwhile their sister restaurant 129 Pizza has a $26 special for a large pie, an order of garlic knots and a two-liter soda for $26. At Beach 116th deli, Bagel & Barista Station, it’s all about party heroes or wraps and wings. Get a three-foot pastrami reuben, with homemade salads and a wing platter for $150, a large wrap platter, homemade salads and wings for $180 or a three-foot chicken cutlet supreme hero with homemade salads and wings for $130, plus 20% off any additional platters with the purchase of a package. In Arverne by the Sea, Batesy’s has all your barbecue favorites like trays of pulled pork, chicken or brisket sandwiches, jumbo wings, deviled eggs and more, plus their Super Batesy’s Box featuring a whole chicken, a pound of brisket, a pound of pulled pork, a full rack of ribs, four sausages and two large sides for $160. Sports bar Pilot House also has catering packages like their tailgate package with wings, mozzarella sticks, pigs in a blanket, quesadilla and chips and guac for 10-12 people for $195 or their touchdown package for 15-20 people with wings, mozzarella sticks, penne alla vodka, house salad and chicken cutlets for $275. Happy Jack’s (108-13 Rockaway Beach Drive) has a sweet deal of a bucket of wings, six bacon cheeseburger sliders, tortilla chips with queso, and a two-foot chicken cutlet and bacon hero for $95, enough to feed four people. Extras can be added.  Email orders to happyjacksbb@gmail.com by February 7.

Bishops Barn in Roxbury has all your catering favorites like meats, wings and pastas, and things you didn’t even think about like baby back ribs, Cuban sandwiches and a variety of unique egg rolls such as Irish, Philly cheesesteak and buffalo. Order online by February 7 at www.BishopsBarnCatering.com.  In Breezy Point, Pizza on the Point has pizza and wing packages ranging from $65 for two pies and a half tray of wings to $120 for three pies and a full tray of wings, plus hero packages. Of course, if you want to head out, most local bars with TVs will be broadcasting the big game (Bungalow Bar, Harbor Light, The Wharf, The Bayhouse, Jamesons, Rogers, Healy’s, Pilot House, etc.).
